High Sheriff
A message from the High Sheriff, Christopher Conley.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s office is the deputies, communications specialists, court officers, and the administrative assistants that serve the citizens of this county. We are a values based organization in everything we do: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service and personal courage are our core values. We don’t have a logo, hip-hop phrase or marketing plan. What we do have is a law enforcement team dedicated to everyone we serve.
The Sheriff’s Department provides a full spectrum of police service throughout the county. We protect the Courts, transport detained persons, serve civil process, and general law enforcement service. We enforce the drug laws by the Carroll County Drug Task Force and support to the Attorney’s General Drug Task Force. These units are made of several law enforcement agencies teamed together for maximum cooperation.
The drug problem is not only about enforcement, but demand reduction. This department supports a wide variety of youth focused organizations including town recreation departments, tri-county cap, Kingswood /Kennett Regional Schools, and any organization that would benefit an association with the Sheriff. The drug problem is real and knows only a path of individual, family, and community destruction. We the people, a community, must take ownership of it.
The Sheriff’s Department is the lead agency of the NH Internet Crimes Against Children (I-CAC) Task Force. This task force is dedicated to identifying, arresting, and prosecuting, purveyors of images of child abuse and rape. This material is out there in our communities and it should shock the conscience of everyone. These crimes are some of the most complex criminal investigations and require our officers to have years of study and preparation. The citizens of this county are the beneficiaries.
I want to be embedded in our communities. If you have any request or can share information about any crime or event, please call.
Thank you for electing me your sheriff and the continued support.
